The Krewe of Muses is distinguished as the first all-female Mardi Gras krewe to parade at night uptown New Orleans. In Greek mythology, the Muses are the nine daughters of Zeus. No festivity in Olympus was considered complete without their joy-inspiring presence, and on earth no fine art, scientific, or intellectual endeavor was undertaken without humbly seeking their inspiration.

Mystic Krewe of Nyx - Where strangers become Sisters! The Krewe of Nyx in New Orleans has earned the honor of being the biggest Mardi Gras parade in history. With over 3348 riders in its 2018 parade, the all-female krewe has broken barriers for the Super Krewes and has raised the bar for parades everywhere. First parading in 2012 with 534 riders, The Krewe of Nyx has made her mark in the pages of carnival history.

The oldest continually active Mardi Gras krewe for children. The Krewe is known statewide for its historical significance, eleborate Tableau-Balls, exquisite costumes and instruction on poise and grace. All of us in Oberon welcome you to our Krewe, and hopes that your interest will be a wonderful and worthwhile experience.

Parade will start at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Magazine Street in New Orleans. The parade will proceed east along Magazine until Napoleon Avenue. We will follow Napoleon north until St. The King will toast his Queen at Gallier Hall.
